When you put them in the fridge where they in a moist planting medium, peat moss, sand or something? That is how cold stratification is done.
My packet (which I never sowed as intended)says scarify with boiling water and let stand 24 hours. Stratify in moist seed starting mix (abt. 1 tbps.) in zip lock baggie and place in refrigerator for at least 90 days. Goes on to say most will germinate at different rates, but most within 2 weeks or less at room temps (75F). Says either prick out the germinated seedlings from the bag as they sprout or direct sow after stratification.

I did the boiling water and let sit 24 hours and then placed in moist potting soil in zip lock bag for 40 days. I also tried some under lights with bottom heat after letting sit in frig.
I feel like I've tried everything and it's not working. I think I'm just getting frantic now. When I finally calm down they'll germinate.
I may just try direct sowing.

Did you read the part where it said at LEAST 90 days cold stratification? You only got 40 days which may not have been a long enough period of cold. I suggest going back in the fridge :D

Yes, I read that but I also read somewhere else that it takes 30-90 days for stratification so I was wanting 40 days to be good enough. I can be impatient.
