What are you fertilizing them them with? I live in Texas near the coast and so my bulbs rarely dry out. I think there is a balance of not keeping them too wet, but not letting them dry out totally.

You need to give them optimal soil, nutrients, water, light (and dark) and temperatures. When you find that balance, they will perform better. Some bulbs bloom right after you buy them, and then go on strike for a couple of years. Since you are growing them under lights, and under a constant temperature, they don't know what season it is, so you could get blooms any time of the year.

It will work out, they aren't easy keepers, but once you find your rhythm with the bulbs and establish good habits with them, they will reward you will blooms.

I am not fertilizing often as I don't know what balance to use or how often to fertilize or whether to do it year round.

I have read several threads on here about fertilizing but they get so complicated that I give up.
