I have a fairly large (11 to 12 height and diameter) Rhododendron. I don't know the variety, but it a fairly late bloomer - peaked toward mid-June even with the amazing spring we had. Even though it is September 1st I am still working on deadheading this plant. I notice a lot of green, healthy looking buds. What causes this and what should I do with them?
