I can't say that I've ever grown it, but I did find a reference to it on Mountain Valley Growers out of California that lists two benefits - it has a longer taproot than most of the popular groundcovers which makes it more drought tolerant than, for instance, creeping thyme. It is sun tolerant (take that one with a grain of salt if there's no shade to be had) partial shade tolerant and is listed in Sunset as being hardy in all zones.

That being said, they claim it "spreads effortlessly" which is a red flag that it might get out of bounds, too, unless you have a contained area.

Did you ever get the rupturewort. Would love somethng like creeping thyme but better. My creeping thyme always dies.
