What a Year

As life would have it, this year gardening had to take a back seat to long work hours, several deaths of family and close friend. The pool pump was having issues last year so I dearly paid for not correcting last year, any spare time I had I was cleaning out the swmp like conditions.

Memorial Day weekend, the pool opening was crystal clear, but I still had not put one seed in a container or the ground.

Thankfully from past Wsing perennial flowers I have an abundance to fill my floral needs. And I quickly direct sowed zinnia seed before a short rain yesterday.

Veggies, on the other hand, had to bite the bullet and buy a flat or so. Hating doing that, I usually start 100+ maters from seed each year for myself and others.

I was wondering about if any had summer sowed fall loving veggies? (a critter ate alot of my broccoli plants)

I am considering SS in the North side of the house now for the fall crops of broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts.

Any thoughts?
