Yet another SoCal gardener here, moving to Scottsdale in a few weeks to a nice big yard with established (read: 'Pines") landscaping, lawn area, and big pool. I have been searching this INVALUABLE database and am looking forward to shifting my gardening skills from 15 years coastal (zone 23) to zone 13! If any of you have pointers or "don't bothers' I would appreciate it. It's going to be pretty tough as we arrive mid May and I sense that is the end of the spring planting season and we are both major gardeners! A whole summer without plantings seems extreme to us...
