ohhh those are so pretty!!:')) looks like they've been going for a bit!! :'))

I'm jealous. All of my ws stuff is hardly over 2 inches.

beautiful flowers - I love your batchelor buttons - mine get over 3ft tall and flop before blooming so I don't plant them anymore but I do love them - so oldfashion and cottage garden looking - thanks for sharing....

Lynne

I love bachelor buttons. They seem to like my full sun drought bed and don't flop. Nice pics!

Looking good :) Everything has grown so fast and you have a lot of blooms already!

Very nice, are those all from this years WS? If so then I'm really looking forward to seeing mine in a couple of months!

Pretty much, the bachelor's buttons were what I sowed the most of. I also have sweet alyssum hiding in there as well as five spot, poppies, melampodium that's finally blooming, petunia, baby blue eyes that didn't show up, (I think my camera is broken! Everything is out of focus!) But the Tradescatias are transplants as are the lilies, and the sedums. I have some other things that are still sleeping in the ground. No sign of them shooting up just yet but they will!

A tip on bachelor's buttons: Don't touch them. They do best in poor soil and dry conditions. So don't put them in a rich, moist bed and don't put any Miracle grow on them.

At most, use bone meal to encourage root growth for them.

I am so jealous of your Bachelor Buttons! Mine died due to either transplant trauma or the wretched heat/humidity we've been having. I direct sowed some more seeds so hopefully they will sprout if not I'm going to direct sow some in the fall with poppies and other hardy annuals. I think I suck at transplanting.

Great ws results. My direct sown BB are just sprouting.
