Maybe dicondra would work, it's pretty adaptable. You can also do creeping thyme but I'm told it takes a few years to get well established. I put down a layer of wood chips in my garden pathways and am very happy with the way it looks and feels.

It's an Etsy shop called SmartSeeds. Wow, I'm convinced this is just one of the plants I want! They also sell that creeping thyme, and it looks gorgeous.

I forgot to mention that the area is in direct all-day sunlight.

I love the way wood chips look, but they would just float away if I put them on this path! lol The path is for our flood irrigation pipe, and beyond leads to our backyard which is grass.

If that water is going to seep into the ground on the path, we'd rather it be feeding something than just going to waste and making mud. :)

Yep, that's how the creeping thyme pathway will look eventually. It will take several years of nurturing here so be sure you are ready for that commitment. And it will not like full sun. I'd go back to diconra grass idea. Good luck in any event.
