Betty,

I have a very pretty pink variety in my garden this year - it bloomed really nicely for me.

Cheers,
Ann

Ann, mine is pink too and I think somebody sent the seeds to me and I wintersowed them or did you give me the seedling from your WS plants? Can you post a picture of yours and see if its the same kind? I'd love to get more for next year if I can only find out what kind it is.

I received some silene seeds in my very first round robin swap about 4 years ago and I am a big fan now. They bloom for awhile if you deadhead the spent flowers. One of the few seed packets I purchased this year was from Parks for what is suppose to bloom blue silene. Can't wait. Hope I am not disappointed. I have put patches of the pink in each of my beds because it gives a lot of flower power for a small allotment of real estate and isn't too tall (I tend to have too much tall stuff!

Nancy, what is the variety name of the Silene? My blooms are pink , and the more I think about it, Ann that responded might have given it to me. She stopped by and shared about 1/2 doz. seedlings that she had wintersown. I'll get back to her this week and see if she has anymore seeds or can tell me where she got those, what brand, etc. Would you have any extra bee balm or garden phlox seed to spare?
