Banana Germination

I started some banana seeds a little over a week ago. I am using the rolled paper towel method. They are in ziplocks to hold in the moisture I have them so they get 14 hours of warmth 80-90 F and 10 hours of cool 65-70. There are also lights on them corresponding to the hot/cool cycle. I have scarified the seeds but have found that some of them have gone moldy (growing a stingy mold or they have begun to ooze. Just wondering if I am going completely wrong or is there something you all do to get better results?
