I live in Wisconsin and brought a Banana Rhisome home from a friends house in Texas.

Ive had this plant for 3 years now and until recently it was a very healthy plant. It is potted, and was about 12 feet tall.

It comes in during the winter and out on the patio during the summer.

This past winter though it was too big for my place so I "Loaned" it to a business where I know the owner. It also thrived there. They needed the space back as of a couple weeks ago and I was forced to bring it home. I figured that since it wouldnt be freezing cold anymore so I could keep it outside. However, 3 leaves broke in transport home and it was really windy for the past few days, and now ALL of the leaves are no longer on the plant. It is just the stalk or psuedostem thingee.

I do not want to lose this plant. I now have it in the house. Will this plant start growing again? Should I leave it how it is or Cut it down and let it start over? Any information will help and thank you very much.
