I grow papilio as an epiphyte, plaqued on a cedar board. Roots covered in sphagnum moss only. Also a cross between H. pap & H aul in a coco basket with "Orchid Mix" as substrate.

I've never seen slabbed hippeastrums. Can you post pictures?
I'm thinking I may put some of my aulicum seedlings on planks. How would h.teyucuarensis or other species do with this method?
