I love the pale look also, They are all beautiful. One more reason I enjoy growing them here in Texas

That is a lovely picture of your Showmaster!! I have been trying for 2 years to get a seedpod on mine to no avail, I guess I just haven't picked the right partner, she didn't like papilio or Lima or anyone else I chose for her!! I am surprised that with the vivid colors of Showmaster you got something so pale I guess the white won out on this one! It does rather look like Apple Blossom. One usually thinks that the stronger color will be dominant but not the case with my Fairy Tale x Lemon Star seedlings either, all 6 of them are pale faces.

Wally your pink flower, (is it Apple Blossom) is lovely with it 4 flowers blooming simultaneously.

I made a cross last year, pod parent for Matterhorn pollen was Bogota with hopes for Bogota shapes and colored strides on white or whitish from Matterhorn. Unfortunately the seedlings were left in a place where they got too much sunlight, couldn't save them. I do have a few seeds left...

The Showmaster x Matterhorn cross with its large apple-blossom shaped blooms has been another eye opener for this year. There has been quite a variety in the colour from very close to the apple blossom pattern to complete red as seen by this overview of the plot:
