The big box stores are notorious for mislableing plants. You probably won't know which you have until full grown. Dwarf Orinoco usually grows between 5 and 8 feet. Orinoco gets much taller and up to 20'. The measurement of the banana is from the soil level to the top of the pseudostem, not the tip of the tallest leaf. The fact that the pseudostem is thin and at 4 feet leads me to believe you have Orinoco. A 4 foot tall Dwarf Orinoco would have a thick pseudostem, since theoretically, it is approaching its fruiting size. Also, I recycle pots all the time with labels on them but strictly rely on my tag in the pot.

Thanks for your input!! The 4 ft that I'm going by is the top of the stem. I grow Basjoo and I figured since the stem was thin that it was still a fairly young plant. Thanks again!!
