Use a 25% strength solution of fish emulsion. You can get it at any good nursery. They should ctock a wide variety of organic feeds that you can use.

Look for Neptune's Harvest. If you don't want to make your own compost tea, seaweed tea or fish emulsion, it's one of the best on the market. It's all organic, and highly concentrated. The blend of seaweed and fish emulsion is good for almost any plant. You can use it as a soil soak, and/or foliar spray.

Thanks for your replies. Trudi, what does a 25% strength solution mean? The emulsions are sold as concentrates. The neptune's harvest that Donn mentions says to mix 1/8 cup with a gallon water. So how would i make this into a 25% solution?

You can use an 1/8 cup to four gallons of water or

1/32 (1.5 tsp) cup to a gallon

there are 16 TBS in a cup
there are 2 TBS in an 1/8 cup
there are 6 tsp in an 1/8th cup
6 divided by 4 = 1.5

I'm using Shore Grow Tomato Feed for my tomatoes and other veggies. It's made from seaweed extract. Thompson and Morgan also carry an all-purpose variety Shore Grow Gel Feed as well.

I really like the stuff, but am getting close to running out. I may give fish emulsion a try since I'm trying to limit my orders with seed companies, at least for now. And shipping is rarely worth it for just one item, so I'd be forced to buy more :)
