Are those pieces of bark in the soiless mix? In my experience, some mixes containing composted bark are very bad. I have never had problems with just peatmoss plus perlite, even without dolomitic lime to raise pH.

I repotted it earlier before I read your post as someone told me a large pot held too water and would rot it.
Unfortunetly the soil mix has bark in it.
I use Jungle Growth soil mix and add Natures Helper or soil conditioner and more perlite. I use it for all my plants except I add crushed gravel or builders sand for succulents.
I will repot again tommorrow with out bark in the mix.
I have never had this problem with other bananas in the same soil mix.

How much sun is it in, and what is that growing in the pot with it?
