Hey guys, I have an Orinoco banana bloom that now has progressed to the male flowers - no more bananas are being made. I have read that you should wait until the bloom is about three inches or so past the last of the bananas and then clip it. The idea is that it makes the bananas fill out better because the plant does not have to support the bloom anymore. Has anyone else heard of this? Is there any truth to it?
