I currently have 6 different cultivars with 20+ plants spread around the edge of my suburban property, and many have already and are fruiting. After the oldest provides fruit I cut it down to the soil line, mulch over it and allow some of the newer shoots to grow.

I find them rather easy to control but have one near a concrete patio and wondered if the root can get under the patio and damage it?

The same question applies to ornamental cultivars only.
