Golden lotus banana (Lasiocarpa) is quite tolerant and should not offer you any problems in transplanting. Try to take a decent size root ball with when you dig but don't feel you have to get every root. Try to keep it out of direct sun when being moved. Obviously, water it in well in its new locale. I might remove a couple of leaves if it shows some signs of stress.

Not to disagree with advice above but if it is the Chinese lotus banana, after the mother plant blooms it dies so transplanting wouldn't change the life expectancy, unless it has pups growing off main plant which I assume it does & they would survive a move. Just use good soil & no direct sunlight for first few days.

Last year & previous years the pups have blooms and all died of in winter. There year the only bloom is on the main plant.

Should I only try to remove one of the pups?
