Yes it is!

This looks to me a Italian Honeybee with pollen basket on rear leg, crocus is a good plant for early pollen collection and in very high demand at this time of year to build up bee population, [food for larvae]...your garden is very bee friendly, Alex!!
So..this means there is a honey bee hive somewhere close to you, app.. 5 mile radius.

I have tried to make my garden as friendly as I can to bees and other beneficial insects, and actively look for very early and very late blooming plants to add. There are at least a couple things blooming from late February until the hard frosts come.

I'm just jealous that you have some crocus blooming and we have 2ft of snow.
