Tomato question

Are any of you growing Black Cherry tomatoes? I've grown them for 3-4 years now, and I find that the plant is a bit "weedy" looking. It bears well enough, but it has long skinny braches and some percentage of its leaves are always drying down.

Is that normal? Or am I doing something wrong? This year's plants are growing in the EarthBox; prior years I grew them in a 5-gallon pot, so I was thinking that it was not getting watered enough or something. Not the case this year. These are the only cherry tomatoes I've ever grown, so I have nothing to compare. Any other type of tomato I grow does great.

It's a big plant PV and needs humongous amounts of water to keep it looking lush. You could prune it back or limit the amount of stems it puts out and that will reduce the amount of water it needs. Evn in an earthbox it may not be getting enough water, so don't blame yourself for not trying, it's just a huge wonking plant and a total water-hog. If you had the room, I'd suggest getting a very small kiddy pool and placing the earthtainer in the pool and filling the pool so that the evaporating water will provide more moisture to the air.
