Hello all, I'm new here and new to beekeeping. I just moved to Tulsa OK. with one colony that I wintered over.Just for giggles I posted an add on Craigs list for HB swarms in my area, it lasted about an hour before it was flaged and removed for some reason. But not before I got a call to remove bees about 40 miles away.As I got close to the town I called for final directions and then found out the bees had been there for about 2 years(oh crap thats not a swarm).I decided to go ahead and go look even though I wasn't set up to do a cutout. What I found was a wooden box 18x18x30 aganst a wall to cover a water faucent.The bees were very calm so I put on a long sleeve shirt and vail and VERY GENTALY moved the box about 4 feet from the wall. aftre 15-20 min. all the bees were still in the box so I was sure the queen was in the box with the combs and not in the wall. The box was open on one side and bottom so I covered it with a bed sheet and took my bees home. No smoker no gloves and no stings. So don't blow off a bee call just because it sounds like you can't handle it go look and the decide, you might get lucky. Jim
