I'd say if they aren't bothering you, don't bother them. Do a little research on the benefits of bees of all types and approach them with that knowledge. I can understand that they wouldn't want a nest of hornets over their doorway, but paper or mud wasps in the attic have never bothered us. Our house is well over 100 years old and I don't see that they've done any damage to it.
When our neighbors moved in they wanted a perfect lawn. Well, we encourage the dandelions to grow because our bees benefit from the early bloom, and we pick the greens for salad and cooking.They cut their lawn once or twice a week and we let ours grow. We get along fine.

Tony gives some great advice. Sounds like they need to be educated.

Spraying will also kill beneficial bugs such as lady bugs (which are laying eggs now) butterflies(which are laying eggs now), etc.....

In most places it is illegal to use pesticides off label. Most pestidides are not labeled for honey bees. In addition, in most places beekeepers can be compensated for losses do to pesticides. Check with your state appiarst.
