Promote Bees, kill wasps.

Hello,

I have a question regarding wasps and hornets. Our issue is we do want to help promote honeybees, bumblebees, etc while trying to discourage Hornets and wasps. We tend to planet plant alot of flowers around our place. We want bees around, but we do not want the hornets and wasps. They seem to be really nasty around here and take after alot of people. The biggest problem is that I am DEATHLY allergic to wasps and hornets. I am not allergic to bees and they don't tend to bother me or go after me as hornets and wasps do. When we see wasps and hornets nests we always knock them down, but what are some other tactics we can employ to keep the away, while hopefully not bothering wasps?

All bees and hornets will travel for forage so planting something to attract them does not mean that they will start building more nests in your yard.
And, similar to bees, foraging wasps and hornets are not agressive as they have nothing to protect. If you provoke them they will most likely just fly away.
There are wasp and hornet traps on the market that do work well and don't bother bees.

Well, they do build alot of nests in our yard. I'm finding them all the time and knocking them down. And I think some yellow jackets have or are looking at building a nest in my lawn as their gathering at one exact spot all the time.

I guess that means they have more nests that I'm not seeing cause they are taking after people.

Thats good, thats what I'm looking for. Are there any particular ones you recommend?
