I don't think they will make it outdoors, if I remember right they aren't that big, can you pot em and bring them in any heat structure?

I was given a Banana Plant from a friend who has had a lot of luck with them. I'm not sure of the variety but it not a dwarf. He had one planted in his backyard that was at least 8 feet tall. Unfortunately, it didn't survive a rough winter we had about two years ago. We live in Northeast Alabama and 1-2 feet of snow is rare. However, he has had new "babies" come up ever since.

I recently purchased a Siam Ruby and heard it is hard to overwinter, even indoors. I haven't been able to find information on how to care for it. It's small and I have it potted to leave indoors during the cold months but would like to know if it needs any special attention.

If anyone could offer some advice, I would appreciate it very much.

That's a fully tropical banana, it needs that environment, heat light humidity!
You need all 3 in abundance!
