Geez, I did a close inspection of my backyard this morning and I'm ready to plow the whole thing up and start over. There are more invasives than I can possibly root out one by one. Lantana, campsis radicans, dayflower, weeds, palm seedlings, you name it. This looks like something I'd really enjoy. How do you think it would do with irrigation every 2 weeks in summer?

Both impressive and attractive - how often do you end up cutting it?

WOW, your lawn looks fantastic! I wondered how it was doing up there in Phoenix. It look like it's very soft and barefoot friendly!

I'm not interested in the lawn-look, so I guess the blue grama is what I'd be looking at. What is your watering schedule, Juttah?

The most frequent watering occurred during June, about once a week, whenever the grass looked stressed. I always water until I can easily insert a screwdriver into the ground 7-8 inches. During July and August, I hardly watered at all due to the rain and humidity.

Right now I'm back to watering about every 10 days, but again I make each watering session count. I'm hoping this will 'train' the grass so it requires even less water next summer.
