Dead bees on my sunflower blooms???

Hi Everyone: I am new to this forum but was wondering if anyone in this forum could tell me why I am finding dead bees on my sunflower blooms. I am a cut flower grower and always thought the bees would benefit from a field of sunflowers too but I am finding quite a number curled up and dead. Is the nectar trapping them somehow? If anyone has any information, I sure would appreciate hearing from you. SusanM
