Bumble bee.

I'm thinking Carpenter Bee (shiny behind), as opposed to a Bumblebee (fuzzy behind). I have loads of both right now; tough to prune those butterfly bushes with the CB's!

definely a carpenter bee. The shiny black abdomen and big head are the easy characters.

Shiny abdomen I was told is carpenter bee (bald head too) only chest is fuzzy. Look for what appears to be sawdust piles near wood piles, decks, wood siding etc and spray and plug the holes
