Winter Sown Lychnis

Hello everyone:

Last year I winter sowed two types of Lychnis: Campion type white, and Flo Jovis 'Peggy'. I planted them out in a new bed I had made with cardboard, kitchen scraps, and leaves. They seemed to have struggled a bit, but made it through the winter and have grown into very strong, healthy plants, but I have no blooms. Do these plants take a few years to flower? They are in an area which has flowering white malva, Marguerite Daisies, a carpet rose, and petunias. Here are pics. taken yesterday:

I am in Zone 5a Canada and we have had quite a cool summer. Is this normal for these plants. Thank you.
