well, when i first saw this, i thought that it may not be a begonia at all. i have a plant with round, coin-shaped, peltate leaves that closely resembles this that turned out to be a pilea or a peperomia (can't remember which--lost the tag). the 'bullseye' begonia is B. conchifolia var. rubrimacula (for the red 'eye'). the link at bottom has a picture of plain ol' B. conchifolia. check it out.

Thank you Ming Tea for your suggustion....the closest I could find was peperomia trisfachya however the leaves are pointed and mine is not. Any other suggustions?

hmm. Peperomia polybotrya? i think that may be the name for the pep i have. you can see in the link that younger leaves are much smaller and rounder than mature ones.

That's the one, however the rhz are quite woody on the parent plant could this still be a P.polybotrya?

I think it's probably Pilea peperomioides. They have a little woodier stem and rounder leaf than the very similar Peperomia polybotrya.

jen! i'm so glad you replied to this post...i've been racking my brain trying to remember what that name was! i posted a pic. of my plant last summer on the houseplant forum and got its name, but i'd since forgotten. thanks for the refresher.
