well dang... guess I'm going to have to find some seeds of that too! It's much prettier and nicer in a pot than the fountain grass I tried last year! Really pretty pots!

Have you tried a Mr. Clean eraser on those sucker marks?

I did tests on this several years back--PMM is clearly stable.

Shoot! I finally had an answer to a question and Trudi beat me to it! I got several seeds of this in a trade or swap last year and that plant of yours is exactly what mine looks like from collected & saved seed.

I will try Mr Clean Eraser, I have tried everything else! lol I thought the powerwasher with Simple Green would do it, but noooooooo.

Trudi, or anyone else who collected the seed, any difference in the third season for growing? Mine didn't gfet purple till late July, the leaves were lime green with a purple vein.
I will have tons of seeds this year the heads are bigger than the store bought one I got last year.

The leaves start off green, that IS what happens, then as days get hotter the color comes in. My experience is that the next generations will also be true...I didn't grow any this year, but the three years in a row I grew them--starting with seeds from traders--they were always stable.

I have found purple millet to be easy to collect seeds from and easy to germinate the next year. I've got it in all my pots (looks great, especially if you plant 3 togther in the center.
But the heck with seeds, lets talk about those Mr. Clean sponges! God knows what's in em (I've never found Mr. clean itself to be such a hot product) but they are amazing. They are my product of choice for greasy dirt - smudges on walls, kitchen cabinets, woodwork. Great on white refrigerator. Cut them in half to make two to cut the cost. I have used them on the things that nothing else seems to work - skid marks on the floor from my son's shoes comes to mind - and they always seem to work.

Nice!! Mine never reached past 8" in container or ground! They were saved seed to from downtown sidewalk planters LOL!

    Better luck next time huh?

Nan,YES! I love my Mr. Clean erasers! I use them for everything including grungy flower pots at the end of the year before packing them away! And they are great on stoves and floors and walls and... and... yep... love em!
