Here are some GREAT bog vines:

Groundnut (Apios americana) - Fragrant and you can eat the tubers!

Climbing Fern (Lygodium palmatum) - Yup, a true vining fern!!

Blue Jasmine (Clematis crispa) - Fragrant and beautiful!

Sweet autumn clematis is nice (clematis paniculata) and will grow anywhere. Keep it in check though.

The native virgins bower, Clematis virginiana, has the same white autumn blooming flowers and is no where near as agressive as Clematis paniculata. Ever tried it?

My neighbor has one on her fence adjoining my yard, nice. I like your Lygodium palmatum suggestion best of all though.

Yeah, I keep hearing people say Lygodium palmatum is difficult but I think they try to grow it in normal soil. In a bog garden it grows great.

I heard somewhere it was the first species of plant in the U.S. to have a conservation policy enacted to protect it. I don't know if that's true or not.

Carolina Aster, Symphyotrichum carolinianum, is another beauty. It blooms when almost everything is worn out. Can get big though.

I should have mentioned that this site only gets morning sun. Of the suggestions, I'm still leaning towards the clematis crispa. I'm not quite sure if I get enough sun for it though. The description says it tolerates moderate shade.

Cranberries, Vaccinium macrocarpon. I love this little vine, and the berries are a nice plus. can be rather invasive though if it's happy!
