question about growing cutting

19 years ago

{{gwi:429858}}

This is my first attempt to grow a begonia. It is an 'angel wing' begonia. I got 3 or 4 cuttings 9 days ago via the mail. I immediately put them in this pot and set them by a sliding glass door facing south. Outside the door was a covered porch, so it didn't get any direct sunlight.

Thinking it might need more light, I moved the cuttings out to my greenhouse Friday (where this picture was taken, tonight). The greenhouse gets down to the low 40s at night, and up to 60-70 degrees during the day.

In the greenhouse, they seem to get too much sun and curl a bit. The pot is now back in the house.

Some of the cuttings are looking pretty dead, but one is still standing.

Any suggestions?

Here is a top view taken a few minutes later. The cuttings are back in the house.
