Hm-m-m. Mine didn't go dormant (outside, protected) all winter, tho' it did pretty much stop growing. I think it's important to keep them on the dry side in the winter--which I do by growing it in a terra cotta bowl--but I wouldn't think it is necessary to dry it out completely. In fact for me, I think it might not revive, but as they say, different strokes...Anyway, it's in bloom right now, and looking a bit ratty from falling twigs and stuff, but clearly alive and healthy. Seems to prefer cooler weather.
