I only grow bog plants in containers, but my new favorite is Thalia geniculata 'Red Stem". It has more than doubled the number of stems since receiving in a 4 -inch pot in mid-April and is 4 feet tall. Really looks good among pots of Elephant Ears, Taro, Cannas, etc. Can't wait until it blooms.
Would love a real in-ground bog, but no longer able to garden in a big way, although I do have over 200 container plants. Many of which like Equisetum or Fiber-Optic Plant need control or just show their form better in a container.
Enjoying my boggy plants...josh
