Shipping Rhizomes

I am cutting back on my begonias and want to send them to a friend. Sending the whole plants would be prohibitive so can I send the rhizomes?

If so, how do I prepare them? Do I cut off the leave and pack the rhizomes in moss or something for shipment?

Any advice appreciated.

BTW, I only have Rhizos and Rexes.

my favorite method of shipping cuttings is to seal them in a ziplock bag without added moisture. this keeps a pretty stable environment in which no water is lost or gained. i suppose packing in sphagnum might be okay, too, as long as it wasn't too soggy...might even get a jump start on the growing process!
as always, ship priority mail. i like USPS the best.
