Hi,

I was given some plants by the Parks Dept where I live in northern NJ. They dug them up from an area close to a pool that seems to have been pretty moist but I haven't seen the plants while in the ground and know nothing about them, except they are probably perennials. They tell me everything they have is non-poisonous but I have to know for sure what I am planting in my community garden. (They also told me the Perennial Salvia they gave me where Buddlejas, so....)

Here are three pictures, the buds haven't opened yet, there is some kind of rhizome involved and the leaves are serrated, greyish/silvery on the back, not hairy but not really shiny either.

The plants I got are about a foot high.
