The refrigerator is back to the left - you can not see it in this photo. Be cautious of taking too many walls out and not having a wall for the ref.

I love this kitchen..My kitchen is open to the family room. At the end of the room is a light grey stone fireplace surrounded with white bookshelves. Do you think a white kitchen would balance this open space or be too white ?

Also what color is the stone !

If you prefer a 'white' kitchen I would most likely suggest a 'white' that would pick up some of the grey in the stone from the fireplace. This kitchen, even though it looks white, has an apricot 'glazing' over a cream white paint on the cabinets. The glazing picks up the glazing color in the tile. The stone is a soft green granite, more granulated than marble in movement. Hope this helps.
