Cut them back hard and water root the cuttings and move the pot with remaining roots and stumps and also the cuttings outdoors under some shade. If the soil is soggy you might want to repot it. The other thing to do is let it alone but do move it outdoors and water well with some 1/2 strength water soluble fertilizer on a weekly basis or every time. Let dry slightly between future watering. You should be rewarded with new growth in a couple of weeks (keeping fingers crossed). If you cut it, you should see roots in a week or two (watch for sour water and change as needed) at which time they can be potted up.

When I'm feeling nervous about cutting back a special cane I just do two or three--or one!--stem at a time, and then when new growth starts at the base I do the rest. And I agree with loni--Butch is very helpful and knows what he's talking about!
