Hmmm....I'd suggest moving, haha. Seriously though - bogs are an important ecosystem that harbor many species. Not only would it be unethical to do anything to modify it, it would be against federal law as well (draining/modification of wetlands is a violation of the Clean Water Act).

It sounds to me like you might need to add some beneficial bacteria... it's the nature of a bog to have anaerobic layers, so find some that will work with or without oxygen...
