Wow! What a glorious thought-----38 flowers! Yes, if your amaryllis is outgrowing its pot you can move to the next size up. But you will probably delay flowering. No need to cut the leaves.

There is tonns of information on this forum about repotting amaryllis, but I will give you the basics here that you should consider.
DON'T cut the root! Ever.
DO put it in a bigger pot. You can losen the root cage, but don't cut it.
If you grow your bulb inside for long time now and you have never cut the leaves why to start now. Keep it just as you have kept it, since it worked so well for you if you had 38 flowers. So just repot it and do everything as you did before.
How come 38? If you had 4 scapes, that is 9.5 blooms per scape... Are you sure you are talking about Amaryllis? It seems pretty unusually high flower number. Has anyone ever met a bulb that shot up 5 scapes? But then it would be still 7.6 average per scape. That is still pretty high. I thought and experienced 4 to be the upper limit.
Do you have a picture of your flower? Maybe it is not Amaryllis.

My amaryllis is 2nd year to me the new growth leaves are falling over.. do I stake them?

You can. Usually that means they aren't getting enought light. They should be fairly dark green and sturdy.
