Don't go by the 60k limit when doing it this way. If you go to the gallery section you can post ONE picture with a size limit (probably 60k) but you do not have to have your pictures in some public area.

As stated your ISP may provide you some space for a personal web page where you can upload some pictures, although it is usually limited. For example, I have 3MB on MSN and 10MB on BellSouth.

You can also download MS image resizer for XP which is quicker than using photo editors. I can click on several pictures in Explorer, right-click and choose resize pictures. From there you can pick small, medium, large, or handheld. Small (640x480) is good, but medium (800x600)provides a much larger picture. Here is the site for this download. After resizing then upload these pictures to your personal web page(s) and then you can either link or embed the URL of the pictures in your posts.
