i want to germinate the seeds of my vriesea splendens which are abut to ripen. i was wondering about the material i could use for netting. i was wondering if gauze would work, i'm thinking it looks like it would be good to conserve moisture and it is already free of contamination. what do you think? any other inexpensive materials that works for you? i'm just doing this at home and don't plan on making a big settup, just something small using artficial lighting and a heating mat. how long are these seeds viable? any other tips specific to vriesea germination would be appreciated.
thanks
