More beautiful pics. from you this Sunday morning. What is the little blue flower with the Rudbeckia hirta? I am partial to blue flowers, but I also like the yellows - like a little bit of the sun. Great pics. !!

OMG!!! I LOVE that KMOTG!! I MUST add that to my wish list...hint hint LOL!

Those Nicotiana are sooooooooo cute and tidy! Mine grow more to like 3-5'!! Do those have the same good smell and do they open up in the day time or just in the evening/cloudy days like mine?

LOvely photos! Is that Salvia reptens in the first photo (behind the rudbeckias)?

Thanks, guys. I have just loved trying new varieties through wintersowing. The blue salvia in the first pic is Salvia guaranitica 'Sapphire Blue', and it's been huge and blooming all summer. It reminds me of Black and Blue, but without the black calyx.

KMOGG was a real thrill for me, as I had never seen it in person. The seeds were from Trudi's ws newbie packet that she sends out. Thanks, Trudi. I've never seen them in gardens around here, and now all my friends want them.

I really did like that particular nicotiana. It stayed pretty and pink, and only a couple feet tall. Until it was eaten overnight by a tomato hornworm - drat !

Oh wow, those are great! :)

I love it! They all look great. Isn't winter sowing a blast? You can try things you never would have thought of and are not limited by darn near anything! Your KMOTGG is to die for. Nice job.

What else do you want to try? How can we help you?

Oh, lovely! All lovely! I so envy you the KMOTGG - I've tried two years running with no luck - maybe the third time will be the charm??

    Beautiful!

bakemom, I'm going to participate in the seed swap, and I can't wait to see what seeds I get from that. It's fun to have seeds from plants that I know someone grew somewhere else in the country.

pvick, my KMOGG came up just fine, but the plants stayed tiny for the longest time. Then they all of a sudden took off. They probably ended up 3 - 4 ft tall, I know I've heard of them getting taller. I've been keeping an eye out for seeds, but even though the blooms are fading and drying up, I'm not seeing any seeds. Maybe I don't know what I'm looking for.

You go girl. Your seeds are waiting. Let's see what kind of magic you can do with WS seeds! Can't wait for the pics!

Nice photos! I love the rudbeckia and the salvia

The KMOTGG seeds are hiding inside pink "petals." They're probably falling off already--mine have been for awhile--and if you scruff the flowers with your fingers, some will come off. You'll feel something hard inside the "petal" and that's the seed. It's black.

So beautiful! I just love the rudbekia. I've grown some things new for me, but not rudbekia just yet. Hopefully I will this year, as those are just gorgeous.

Thanks for the seed info, stage_rat. I'll check it out at first light tomorrow.

Your photos look like they came straight from one of the high end seed and plant catalogs. Fantastic! Very nice color composition. Thanks for sharing.

I really love the salvia rudbeckia combo.
