It's time right now to start toms and peppers for an early to mid-February set out date, and most/many of us are still picking fresh fruit in December, so tomatillos should fit right in there.

Except for tomorrow's cold front rain, it's going to be in the mid 70's for the next ten days in the mid-desert and the upper 70's in Maricopa County. Arizona has already nailed having it's warmest year in recorded weather history.

Neat, Mary, neat! I always think of them as more summery too, so it's good to hear from you and grubby that it's possible to have happy ones out in the garden now. Fun!

My favorite is Green Chile Posole
Just made some Sunday for a few days when its cold. My husband loves it and he is from Penn.
Its pretty easy soup
Celery, spices, onions, diced pork, hominy, green chilies, Tomatillos

Yes campv, posole is a favorite at our house too - with some good thick tortilla's warmed up for dunking.
