I bought these this spring, and kept them outside as hanging baskets all summer. Both are still blooming a lot. I would like to keep them over the winter, but the canes have gotten so long. Some of them are almost 3 feet long. If I cut them back, will they resprout from lower down? If so, is it best to do half the canes, first, then the other half once I see signs of new growth?

I know nothing about these except they are NOT some exotic variety. But they were blooming demons all summer long. Thanks!
