Yep. Its Eddiedewayne. We've chatted a little by mail. He's already been very helpful in letting me know which ones are hardy around here so I'm thrilled to get to pick his brain since I'm so new at growing brugs. I'm not going to buy any thing else until I can get them outside... I've lost more cuttings than I have left and I grieve over every lost one. LOL. I'm hoping I can arrange a visit in March. Wildflower - your cuttings (logs) are doing just fine and I haven't lost any of them, although I did share one of each with a friend. Be sure and hollar at me when ya'll come this way and hopefully Eddie will let us come visit. WhoooHoooo! Gotta start saving my pennies..but just think... if I don't have to pay postage, I can get more plants!! I'm thrilled to have found a local brug friend.

Brenda: I'm about 2 hours northwest of Raleigh. Its not a bad drive from Raleigh to Winston-Salem (where the brugs are). Maybe I could meet you somewhere and we could go together.

He said yesterday that hes always interested in getting new ones from overseas, so I imagine his collection will just keep getting better and better. He has a greenhouse, Right now thats about all I know except for his ebay offerings look awesome. I can't wait to go visit. I hope I can hold out til march because I know I'm gonna go nuts and I don't want to risk losing whatever I buy by not being able to get them outside right away. And you know, wildflower has a point - I haven't even asked him yet if he allows visitors, but I got the impression that it wouldn't be a problem. He's been very nice.

Just couldn't help it. What a cool looking plant with variegations from chartreuse through several shades of green.

Boy if I win - I'll need to get in touch with him and ask him to use a heat pack or ask him to ship it to someone else for the time being.

Funny part is - I don't even know what color the BLOOMS are - I just liked the foliage so much. (grin)

Neon - I may because the last few that came to me from another vendor don't look like they're going to make it at all.

I've never seen this "sunsport" before - pretty and unusual foliage.

Now I know who he is... I'd bid on a Jamie he had a while back. Didn't win it and I'd still like to have that one. Had forgotten all about it until now!! Neon, I will give you as much advance notice as possible when I'm coming to W-S again.

I have one of his Jamies. It doing well but the mites got it so its losing its leaves. I had it all by itself in the bedroom too. Can't figure out how they got to it.
