Oh, ain't she the tricky one! Good work hdd, only an idiot would use the same photo-shopped pics. Guess I'll just have to keep on reporting her. For anyone who doesn't know what we're talking about, this seller used to known as "mantisbee' and is a 100% fraudulent seller. Stay away, far, far away.

For 2 different plants now thats not smart at all

just wondering... what makes her a fraudulent seller?

did you look at the photo's of the plants for sale? Do they look real?

They must still be boycotting ebay. LOL, I saw those earlier and I didn't even look.

some things look normal to me, some look painted lol

Isn't this just Ae. gamosepala, taken from a weird angle? Common as dirt.

Here is a link that might be useful: rare new hybrid!

Now L@@Ky here. These RARE bromeliads must have come from an estate sale no doubt. I'm just waiting for little miss PhotoShop to register them. Now THAT would be something.

    Hi !

Funny.I also have these in my watching at my ebay.

Was wondering what was to become of them. Too bad there are people that will bid without doing a simple google search.

Thanks for the heads up on the seller..that is what these forums are all about.

I am always giving away the pretty little matchstick broms..........

They are using yet another name this week

Here is a link that might be useful: Same old stuff

It won't last. I presume the lengthy complaint I filed actually worked. The more people that spot items like hers with enhanced photos need to report the item under the heading "Fraudulent listing". Just send e-bay a comment that this seller had been recently NARU'd and has re-appeared with Photoshopped plants.

This seller is apparently well loved in other circles, I picked up on it on a Clivia forum.

I really don't think ebay cares, there is a guy that I know is having friends bid up his items, and is building up his feedback as well with the fake sales. He is working shill bidding by having the friend bid first, he starts the items at 99 cents, they bid $3.00. Then if someone else is interested they have to outbid the other bidder. All of his bidders are kept private, but all 3 of his best customers are in Texas where his friend lives. His friend even left positive feedback for items that had just closed one Saturday night, and could not have even possibly been sent out. E-bay ignored the report I sent them. They are selling 100% of their auctions every week! I'm sorry but that is unheard of unless you are selling Diamonds for $1.00 or something like that.

Gonzer the listings with those old brom photo's were removed and they created this new name...now again the photo's have been removed.....endless, useless Ebay
And now Good old Ebay in their pathetic wisdom now hides all bidders ID's with a weird code system(what a joke)According to Ebay retailers not using Ebay to sell were emailing their buyers under ficticious names, telling them where to get many items cheaper and to stop shill bidding. Now I ask you this if your are going to use this tactic to sell...how would a coded ID stop that since all involved know the other is going to do this?
And Bambi watch that 'Texas' stuff LOL

Hey its my useless conman brother in law and his trailer park trash friend. He'll be going bye bye for trying to make a date with a 15 year old on line, he got the Police instead.

    I didn't mean you HDD.

You know whats really weird about that, is if you click on the coded bidder you get all this neat info on them....

Hdd and Bambi, I wrote e-bay a very lengthy letter again this morning outlining the fact that 'mantisbee' has been the subject of many discussions here. I did notice that she somehow moved her base of operations (!?) to Redondo Beach CA. Anytime you see her re-appear on e-bay don't hesitate to report her. She's nothing but bottom-feeding scum....an I don't like her either!

What city was she in before? One close to Redondo?

The problem is they can use any friend or relatives address to create a new account. I find that about 99% of my payments coming in are through Paypal so there is no real need to have a mailing address to receive payments. As a metter of fact you can have a REGISTRATION ADDRESS, PAYMENT ADDRESS, and PRIMARY SHIPPING ADDRESS, and they all don't have to be the same. If you only accept Paypal you don't even need to worry about it.

I guess the way to keep up with this one is to make a list of the items thay sell and do a search once a week looking for jazzed photos.

I reported it too, but ebay might be ignoring me because I've been all over my loser Brother in law. I really want that store shut down. I think the account he is using is either in my sisters name, or my desceased Brother in laws name. I am afraid he is going to scam a bunch of people and skip town leaving my sister holding the bag, and avoiding jail at the same time. He has broken all kinds of rules, but the account is still open.

    ***mantisbee***

Let me start off by saying that communication with each other as we are doing at this very moment, is the cornerstone of sucessful online buying and selling. I sell all types of products as you can see, my specialty is rare orchids, bromeliads & tillandsias (air plants) as well as succulents like cacti and plumeria. Most of which I grow right in my back yard here in sunny southern california. I do sell alot of new and used electronics like pro audio gear and office equipment, so every item must be inspected and tested before it goes on auction. I gaurantee everything I sell to be exactly as described and pictured in the auction, no surprises here ever! I enjoy having fun with my auctions by offering items that are rare or uniqe that attract attention from collectors and encourage early bidding. I do my best to make my auctions visully attractive using lots of color along with pictures and detailed descriptions. My customers buy from me over and over again because I sell only the best quality products and take my time to pack each and every order carefully to assure safe delivery. Thank you very much for taking the time to read this about me page.

"lots of color", that's ripe! Timothy Leary would have problems with the colors she uses.
