Just sprinkle the seeds where you want them to come up. Then keep the area damp. Or if you want to plant them in pots, surface sow, and keep moist. They should be stratified as I took them off the plants right before I sent them to you.

I wondered if you ever got them as I hadn't heard anything.

Sandy

Sounds like they need to be wintersowed!!LOL!!

Wintersowing them would be great! Actually, I just let nature "do it."

Sandy

My false nettles self-sow all around the mother plants, so just sprinkle the seeds on the surface of the soil like Sandy said. I'd keep them moist, even wet, at all times. The only thing that ever causes my plants to die back is dryness, and my happiest plants are growing in soil that stays boggy almost all the time. These same plants have already started making new growth from the bottom, so wetness seems to help keep them "perennial" too.
I think false nettles are very attractive, and I've raised quite a few red admirals and question marks on them.

Good timing on this message - thanks for the info! I'm waiting for my false nettle seeds to be delivered from Prairie Moon. :)

What?! You got false nettle from PMN??? Well gosh, I couldn't see it in their catalog when I ordered! Now I wish I knew where I put it so I could look. I hope my eyesight isn't getting that bad! :-O I was even looking for it! I'm glad I was able to get it from Sandy, but now this really has me wondering if I missed seeing it!
