Kim, I've always been confused about what I perceive to be admission $$$ for the WBC. Registration(?) is $100+ per day. Are they refering to a package that includes 1 day of the conference and one night's stay? Kind of strange to think they'd charge such high $$ just to mosey around for an afternoon. What do you know??? Thanks Kim.

I was a little confused also. Today I went to my first San Diego Bromeliad Society meeting, and I'm still not totally clear. It appears a single day is $35, which includes all lectures and tours for that day, but banquets and luncheons are extra. If you just do a tour, it's about $27. I pointed out that tour prices are not listed on the web site, nor are daily prices.

If I were to sign up now, it would cost me $195, which includes all lectures, tours, banquet, luncheon, and BSI membership, which includes the BSI publication. A single day at $35 seems pricey to me, but I can't spend the whole week there, so I can't see paying $195.

This is why I'm asking if anyone has been before, and is it worth it? In terms of just going to a plant show and sale, like you say, to mosey around for an afternoon, $35 is rather brisk.

I'd agree with you on that Kim. For $35 they should at least throw in lunch (or a free plant). I know that Pam is going to be bringing down her 'big guns' for international sale. Keep us posted if you find out any more info.
